Professional Experience
Attorney Joyce Komanapalli joined Reeves & Associates in April 2008. She is an Associate Attorney in both the Defense and Federal Litigation Departments in Pasadena, California.
Prior to joining Reeves & Associates, Ms. Komanapalli practiced as an Immigration and Civil Litigation Attorney in Huntington Beach, CA. Ms. Komanapalli has represented individuals in deportation/removal proceedings before the Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and has prepared Writs of Mandamus in Federal Court. Additionally, she has represented clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for adjustment of status, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) self-petitions, naturalization, asylum, and waivers.
Ms. Komanapalli served as a judicial extern to Justice William F. Rylaarsdam of the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District, Division Three. She also served as a pro bono Immigration Attorney representing victims of violence and human trafficking at the Public Law Center in Santa Ana.
Education
Ms. Komanapalli earned her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degrees with honors, cum laude, in Political Science and Philosophy, with a Minor in Global Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of California, Irvine. She obtained her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, in May 2003.

Attorney Komanapalli is licensed to practice before the California Supreme Court, U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
She is a member of the American Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
