Professional Experience
Myra V. Azucena joined Reeves & Associates in March 2006. Ms. Azucena has worked exclusively as an immigration attorney since her admission to the State Bar of California. She is currently a Senior Associate working in the Family Reunification and Deportation Defense departments at the Pasadena office. She became partner in January 2008.
Ms. Azucena has successfully represented numerous clients in deportation/removal proceedings at the Executive Office of Immigration Review, Immigration Court. She has broad experience representing clients in asylum, waivers, adjustment of status, naturalization, as well as applications for immigrant and non-immigrant visas at the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in the United States and abroad.
Education
Ms. Azucena obtained her Bachelor’s of Arts (B.A) degree in Legal Studies and Sociology from the University of California of Santa Cruz in 2001. She obtained her Juris Doctrate (J.D.) from California Western School of Law in San Diego, CA in 2004 where she served as president of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and Vice President of the Public Interest Law Foundation.
Membership and Activities
Ms. Azucena was awarded a scholarship to sit for the California Bar by the Filipino American Lawyers of San Diego. She was admitted to the California State Bar in June 2005. She is currently a member of the Pilipino American Bar Association of Los Angeles, CA.
